Our History
Zenith Directing Academy was founded in 2010 by Evelyn Hayes, an award-winning director with over two decades of experience in the film and television industry. Evelyn envisioned a school that would not only teach the technical aspects of filmmaking but also foster the artistic vision and leadership skills necessary for directors to succeed.
Initially, the academy started as a small workshop with a handful of students. However, due to the high demand for quality filmmaking education and Evelyn's reputation as an exceptional instructor, Zenith Directing Academy quickly grew in size and scope. Within a few years, the academy expanded its curriculum to include a wide range of courses, from directing fundamentals to advanced cinematography and post-production techniques.
In 2015, Zenith Directing Academy moved to its current location on Sunset Boulevard, providing students with access to state-of-the-art facilities and the vibrant filmmaking community of Los Angeles. The new campus featured fully equipped sound stages, editing suites, and classrooms, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Over the years, Zenith Directing Academy has established a strong reputation for excellence in filmmaking education. Our graduates have gone on to work on numerous successful film and television projects, and the academy has received recognition from industry organizations for its innovative curriculum and commitment to student success.
